Callee has taken out local and national songwriting competitions including MusicOz, Australian Songwriters Association, NCEIA Dolphin Awards, ZZZ Fm Accelerator.
Callee has toured with Pete Murray as a support act on his 2005 “See The Sun Tour”. Other artists Callee has performed with include Busby Marou, Steven Jaymes, Marshall and the Fro, Rokeby Venus and Dave Dow. Callee has also performed both as a soloist and with her band at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, and the Australian Songwriters Association Awards Ceremony (Sydney). Callee has performed extensively between South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales in venues such as Byrons Bay’s Beach Hotel and Great Northern Hotel; and Brisbane venues including The Zoo, The Globe, All One World, Tempo Bar and Fridays Riverside.
Recent shows include a fundraising charity gig “The Best of Brisbane” in support of the Helen Hackett Foundation. Callee performed at the event and donated an additional performance up for auction together with renowned chef Allistair McLeod (Channel 10 Ready Steady Cook & Brett’s Wharf Seafood Restaurant); and together, they pulled in the highest bid of $12,500. Over $100,000 was raised in total from this event.
Callee has recently recorded her debut album alongside recording engineer/producer Anthony Lycenko (Pete Murray, Xavier Rudd, Pty Ltd., Giants of Science, George, Resin Dogs), and her brother, drummer Jacob Mann (Pete Murray, Marshall & The Fro, Dallas Frasca, Busby Marou). Other musicians featured on the album include Ben McCarthy (Pete Murray, Kate Miller-Heidke), Murray Burns (Mi-Sex), Matt Smith (Thirsty Merc, Lisa Hunt), Luke Ferguson (Pete Murray, Marshall and The Fro, Lisa Hunt, Jasmine Rae).
Working at studios including Rockinghorse Byron Bay, 301 Byron Bay, Sing Sing Studios Melbourne, and Pete Murray’s home studio “The Ranch”; and being mastered by Kathy Naunton @ DB Mastering, Sydney NSW; and Paul Blakey @ 12th Vine & Post, Gold Coast QLD.
After six years in the making with a lot of growing up and life experience in between, the album is finally complete in fancy packaging and currently in preparation for the debut launch on 17th November 2011.
